The Making Of Let It Be Horror
HAND DRAWN DESIGNS

This design has been in the making for the past 3 years. I studied as a portrait artist and in my downtime I would always create a drawing for myself to keep. So over the years I have drawn David Lynch, Wes Craven, Stephen King and Stanley Kubrick.
I wanted to somehow bring these drawings together as a whole. Being a huge Beatles fan I stumbled on the idea of changing the iconic Let It Be album cover to Let It Be Horror featuring some of the biggest names in the horror world.
This has been a labour of love over the years and I'm so happy to see it all come together in a completely original design for us at Filmhead Threads.

Stephen King
This author has been a huge influence in my life and continues to be to this day. I first started reading King back in 1988 and haven't really stopped.
My favourite books from him are Different Seasons, IT, Salems Lot, Pet Semetary, Misery, Insomnia, Desperation, Liseys Story, Rose Madder... The list goes on and on.
Drawing him was a privilage and I'm really happy with the outcome.

Stanley Kubrick
One of the greatest film directors of the 20th Century is Stanley Kubrick. A master of cinema who brought us possibly horrors crowning achievement The Shining.
Kubrick dug deep into Kings material to bring us something different from the book. It's the cold, meticulous telling of this that makes us question our morals as human beings and who we really are deep within.
The Shining still holds up today as a Masterpiece of cinema.

David Lynch
The Master of Dreams & Nightmares David Lynch is a tour de force of originality in Cinema. He changed the landscape of what is achievable in film and took it to ever greater heights. His ground-breaking Debut Eraserhead shook the world to it's core as did his television series Twin Peaks which changed how we view TV shows to this day. Predominantly known for his films he was also an advocate for transcendental meditation and art of all kinds. His covid weather reports were a glimpse into his love for humanity. Every film he made was never explained by himself and he encourages the viewer to interpret them as they see fit.

Wes Craven
The man who reinvented the horror genre several times in 3 different decades with The Last House On The Left, A Nightmare On Elm Street & Scream. Wes always had a project on the go and made very different films over his career. The Serpent And The Rainbow, Shocker and Wishmaster are all very interesting movies but didn't hit as hard as his other works yet found a dedicated following amongst horror fans across the globe. His intelligence shone through all the work that he created and left a lasting legacy to be very proud of.
