The Making Of Talk To Me T Shirt

Talk To Me was a 2022 smash horror film directed by Danny And Micheal Phillippou. I loved the image of the embalmed hand as the gateway to the supernatural.

I am a trained artist but this is the first digital drawing I have made using a drawing tablet. Firstly I learned the basics and drew out the first hand in black pencil.

Once I was happy with that I started on the second [embalmed] hand so drew that in a different colour to differentiate between the two drawings. I have drawn lots of hands in the past but the texture on the embalmed hand proved to be quite tricky to get right. Using some digital paintbrushes I was able to give it the required look.

Once I was happy with the two different hands I put them together and added shading and further textures to bring them together as a whole.

Then came the fun part of adding the names and messages onto the hand taken from the film. We thought for a bit of fun we would ask our followers on social media for suggestions to add onto our embalmed hand. Lots of people got involved and using the tablet I could easily add more names to the drawing.

We then added the title of Talk To Me in a hand drawn scrawled style. Really happy with the outcome of this piece and it took a fair few hours to get just right. Looking forward to working with the drawing tablet for more designs in the future.
