The Making of The Beetlejuice Design

The classic 1989 movie Beetlejuice has yet again taken the cinemas by storm with it's second movie in 2024. We wanted to create a unique T shirt for this film that was different from the usual designs on the market.

We started by picking our two favourite sculptures and drew them both in a cross hatch style. When we were happy we scanned them into the computer to finish them off with composition and selected fonts. The drawings are all unedited and are identical to the originals on the page.

In the film Delia Deetz created 4 sculptures and is trying to sell them. The final design has a fictional auction house based in New York with the sculptures for sale. We added lot numbers, Auction house address and Auction house name to make it feel more authentic.
